Former President of Burundi Pierre Nkurunziza, who died suddenly on the 8th of this month in the region Karusi hospital, he was buried today in the capital of the country, Gitega.

Citizens of Burundi as well as invited guests from within and outside the country are expected to attend the funeral.

The former leader of Burundi, who led the nation for 15 years, died at the age of 55 years.

His death came shortly after the general election scheduled and was himself handed over power in August, but the report says the country had a heart attack and loss of life.

According to reports the government of Burundi, the ceremony will begin at 'hospital du Cenquantenaire Twese Turashoboye' in the region Karusi, neighbor and Gitega province, where his preserved corpse.
